It all started unexpectedly in June 2021. A message from my cousin popped up: “Have you seen a contestant on MasterChef made a canelé… with (black) garlic?” That contestant, Tom Levick, had created a Black Garlic canelé—a combination so unusual that it sparked my curiosity.

I was never meant to start a series of flavoured canelés, but what started as a curiosity-driven experiment evolved into a healthy obsession. I wanted each canelé to be more than just a treat—I wanted it to be an experience, taking classic techniques and infusing them with flavours that push boundaries.

Since then, I’ve created over ten unique flavours, each crafted to surprise and delight, from the nostalgic sweetness of Pandan Kaya to the refined elegance of Black Truffle. Every flavor has a story and a touch of adventure, reflecting the journey that Pardon My French Treats has taken.
