Meet Yeelin

Welcome to Pardon My French Treats, where passion meets perfection in every batch of our signature canelés. I’m Yeelin, a silver-haired mum of three and the proud founder of this home-based bakery in Perth, Australia. Originally from the beautiful island of Mauritius, I bring a unique blend of cultures and flavors into every pastry I create.

Baking was never my forte—but with perseverance and a love for French pastries, I turned my passion for canelés into a thriving business. Canelés have been my focus for the past four years and I’ve dedicated myself to perfecting them. Every batch is made with care, blending traditional French techniques with modern twists, using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.

What started as a humble kitchen experiment during the COVID pandemic has since grown into a thriving business, where I now share these handcrafted treats with the Perth community—and beyond.

Our Mission: Bringing Joy, One Canelé at a Time

At Pardon My French Treats, we don’t just bake—we create experiences. Whether you’re enjoying our classic canelés or indulging in one of our seasonal flavor innovations, we believe that every bite should transport you to a place of joy and comfort. Our mission is simple: to spread the love of authentic French pastries across Australia and to make every occasion a little sweeter.

Why Canelés?

Canelés are much more than just a pastry to me; they embody patience, tradition, and artistry. Perfecting a canelé takes time, skill, and a keen appreciation for the finer details, which is why I consider each batch a labor of love. Despite their simple ingredients—eggs, milk, sugar, and flour—it’s the technique that makes canelés truly special. The caramelized exterior and custard-like interior require patience and expertise, and that’s exactly what I bring to each batch.

A Little More About Me

As a mum of three young children, my days are filled with laughter, chaos, and creativity. While my children keep me on my toes, my bakery has become my true passion. I’ve built Pardon My French Treats from the ground up, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me. Whether I’m perfecting new flavors or adding a fresh twist to a classic, I’m constantly inspired to innovate and share the best of my French-inspired baked goods.
